When the world stood still five years ago, Taylor and Brendan’s story was just beginning. In the middle of a global shutdown, two swipes right changed everything, and from that moment on, they’ve been inseparable.

Fast forward two years to a Halloween engagement (her favorite holiday), and it was clear that their love story wasn’t one for the ordinary. When we met for their first consultation, the vision came to life instantly, a Mount Shasta wedding filled with elegance, personality, and a touch of rebellion.

The Vision: A Destination Wedding in the Mountains

Set among the breathtaking Redwoods with Mount Shasta standing proudly in the distance, Taylor and Brendan’s destination wedding felt like something out of a dream. They wanted a day that felt timeless yet unexpected, a perfect balance between classic romance and bold individuality.

The color palette of black, white, and silver brought that balance to life beautifully. Every detail told a story, hidden skulls tucked into décor, chrome accents that glistened under the mountain sun, and design elements that blended softness with just the right amount of edge.

The Ceremony: Light, Love + One Unforgettable Entrance

Guests arrived to not one, but two custom welcome signs; the first representing “day,” an ethereal ceremony space filled with light and mountain air, and the second representing “night,” the after-hours version of their celebration, where the vibe turned dark, moody, and ready to party.

And then came the moment no one will ever forget. Taylor, our timeless bride, rode in on horseback with her dad, the ultimate country bride entrance, as a piano version of Eminem’s Lose Yourself played softly in the background. It was unexpected. It was bold. It was her.

The ceremony itself was pure magic; an angelic setting framed by the mountains, where love felt as wild and endless as the landscape around them.

The Reception: ’Til Life Do Us Party

As the sun dipped behind the mountains, guests stepped into a completely transformed tented reception. Chrome skeleton hands welcomed everyone with the second “welcome”sign a playful black and chrome“’Til Life Do Us Party” with skeletal rock + roll hands and from that point on, it was clear: the night was just getting started.

Tables were set with elegant ten-piece place settings, silver accents, and florals to die for. Every inch of the space was designed to capture the couple’s personality; sophisticated, a little wild, and full of heart.

Inside, red uplighting bathed the tent in a soft glow that contrasted perfectly with the crisp mountain air. The Dj walked over to me the planner after dinner and ask “What color would you like the uplights” I confidently looked him in the eye and said “RED”. He loooked stunned, responded with “It’s going to look like hell in here”, I politely but without hesitation replied “That’s the point”. Taylor is a Switie and Freddie Kruger fan at heart, and we had just lived our Lover era during the ceremony and it was time to turn up the volume on our “Reputation” era. The night unfolded with laughter, dancing, and the kind of energy that only happens when two people are completely, unapologetically in love.
